TLDR: Kathryn and Blake’s colorful late-summer wedding at Waterworks by Cescaphe was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, iconic Philly views, and high-energy celebration. From a soft sage green and blue wedding palette to a waterfront ceremony overlooking the Schuylkill River, their day was filled with personal touches and luxury details. I’ve photographed every step of their journey—from their NYC proposal to their vintage-inspired engagement session—and their wedding day was the most magical chapter yet. If you’re planning a high-end wedding in Philly or considering one of the Cescaphe venues (like Water Works or The Lucy), this one’s packed with inspiration, vendor recs, and major feel-good vibes.

Featured Wedding at Cescaphe Waterworks
Okay, I don’t even know where to begin with these two. Kathryn and Blake’s wedding day at Cescaphe Waterworks was truly one for the books. I’ve known Kathryn forever, and getting to photograph her proposal, her engagement session and her wedding day? The actual dream.

If you’re new here (hi, welcome!), you can catch up on the start of their love story with their super sweet NYC proposal along the East River right here. Then grab a tissue and swoon over their vintage taxi cab engagement photos in Manhattan here. Their whole journey has been full of energy, style, and heart—and their Philadelphia Waterworks wedding day tied it all together in the most magical way.
Wedding Weekend Kickoff in Philly
These two planned a full-on Philly wedding weekend, and it was the perfect way to welcome all their favorite people into the city. Kathryn’s a born-and-raised Philly girl, and Blake’s from Michigan, so they brought their worlds together in the most beautiful way.
Things kicked off with welcome drinks at Victory Brewing in Philly, and the energy was already 100/10 going into the big day.
Kathryn’s modern french twist bridal updo and high-neck white dress were chic af.

Getting Ready In Downtown Philadelphia
They stayed at The Logan Hotel, which, if you’re looking for a luxe Philly getting-ready spot, is IT. We started wedding portraits at Logan Square Fountain, then made our way to Water Works, which is seriously one of the most iconic Philadelphia wedding venues out there.

Think epic skyline views, classic architecture, and that riverfront backdrop. A total modern fairytale with city chic vibes.
Sage Green, Sentimental Moments & A 21-Person Wedding Party (!!!)
Kathryn’s bridal look? STUNNING. She wore a classic-meets-modern Jude Jowilson gown from The Wedding Factor, and honestly, I’m still not over it. Her glam team—@emboldenedhairartistry on hair and @jkobeauty1 on makeup—killed it. She looked timeless and glowy and just so herself.

Their sage green wedding palette paired with bright, summery florals by @beautifulbloomsevents made the day soft and romantic but still full of personality. And the wedding party?! Twenty of their closest friends hyping them up all day. That energy is unmatched. This extroverted extrovert was livingggg.

Now, here’s the part that gave me full-body chills: Kathryn’s dad passed away when she was sixteen, and ever since, their sign has been “dimes.” When she checked into her hotel the morning of her wedding, there were two dimes just sitting there on the counter. No one placed them. No one planned it. Just… there. TELL ME THAT’S NOT HIM. It was the most emotional and beautiful start to the day.
Wedding Ceremony at Water Works by Cescaphe
The ceremony took place overlooking the river at Fairmount Water Works, and I will never stop raving about how dreamy this venue is. Between the breeze off the water, this breathtaking floral arch, the views of the Art Museum, and the soft evening light, this screams peak high-end wedding photography in Philly.

@cescaphe always delivers on luxury wedding experiences, and their Water Works team made everything seamless and elevated. From the layout of the space to the custom dinner setups and cocktail hour under the tent—chef’s kiss.

And can we talk about the DANCE FLOOR?! Kathryn and Blake had @ebetalent on entertainment and the place was electric all night. I live for a reception where everyone is singing their lungs out and breaking it down with zero shame. My extrovert soul was fed.
