Taylor and Matt got married on the most perfect day in September at the Mallard Island Yacht Club. September 10th was the brides parents wedding anniversary! They celebrated 33 years together on their wedding date 09/10/2021. Both of their parents have been married 30+ years and are huge role models for them. How incredibly special is that!?
The groom grew up spending summers in Long Beach Island, NJ and they LOVE the beach. After driving past Mallard Island Yacht Club for 5 years, they were SO excited to finally experience their big day there. They told me every time they went to LBI in the summer of 2021, they passed the Mallard and dreamt about the wedding! When the day finally arrived, it as better than they could have every dreamt or hoped for!
From the couple:
What moment of your wedding day were you most looking forward to?
Taylor: Reading our personal vows to one another in front of our friends and family during the ceremony!
Matt: First Look
I envisioned our wedding to be a day everyone could just relax and have the time of their life! We were honestly so excited for our guests to be able to experience the Mallard and all it had to offer! I may be biased but I have not been to many venues as spectacular as the Mallard!! Who does not love a beach getaway paired with luxury? From the moment we got to the venue until that night when we went to bed, I honestly felt like royalty! Although many months went into planning all the details, once we arrived, we did not have to lift a finger all day! Everything ran so smoothly (BIG thanks to our amazing vendors and staff) so we were all able to totally relax, be in the moment and enjoy every aspect of our wedding! I was also so excited for the sunset/golden hour photos on the water!
More from the bride: I may be crazy but the ”detail” photos may be some of my FAVORITE! I am obsessed with the color palette throughout them all! I feel like the vibes were so cohesive! I am a very simple person by nature but love a little glam, so to have the soft greens with all the neutrals paired with the magnificence of the venue… OBSESSED! Also, the pampas grass in the florals was the perfect touch of “beach” without being too overbearing! I was excited to get married at the beach but did NOT want a beach themed wedding if that makes sense haha
Our reception felt like the funnest party we have ever thrown! Our bridal party legit killed their walk outs and we must have sat for a total of 30 minutes all night because we danced THE. WHOLE. NIGHT! To look back and see photos of all our family and friends arm in arm as we were on the floor for our first dance is priceless! Our family means the WORLD to us and to see everyone having so much fun together is priceless! Our DJ told our best men and maids of honor to keep their speeches to 3 minutes… and they must have each talked for at least 15 minutes plus! We did not care at all though because their speeches were so manful to us! I am still swooning over the small details such as wedding cake and flowers! The center pieces legit blew me away! I have slight OCD when it comes to things being well coordinated lol and the main ballroom legit looked PERFECT!
I must have prayed every single day from the day we booked our date for nice weather! Something completely out of our control and although our wedding was not technically ON the beach, the venue had so much to offer especially if it was a nice day. Long story short, my prayers were answered! We had the MOST picture perfect day… 75 degrees, sunny ALL day and even had a nice breeze! Legit could not have asked for a better day whether wise!
When I look back at our photos all I see is complete JOY! Every single photo we have the biggest smiles on our faces!
