Valley Forge Engagement Session | Kirsten + Jonathan

Kirsten & Jonathan met working at the same restaurant and have inseparable ever since! These two are kind, bubbly, and just so fun. Their engagement session last May at Valley Forge National Park and downtown Phoenixville was one to remember.

I would also like to note how stinking adorable their pup is! Clients, please bring your furry friends to your session! I am so excited to celebrate these two at Excelsior next September!

When did you start dating/ How long have you been together?

Jonathan and I met back in 2015! We worked at a restaurant together – he was bartending as a second job post-college and I was in college waitressing 4-5 nights a week. My car started smoking when leaving work one night. My friend told me to “ask Jon King to take a look, he’s a handy guy!” So I did…he helped me get home that night and then came over to my apartment in downtown West Chester (where he also lived) the following evening. He took me to 3 advanced auto part stores until we finally got the part we needed. We got to know each other on the car rides in between car part shopping, lol! I took him out to dinner to thank him and HE PAID! My mom told me it was a date but I told her he was just being nice! We started hanging out after that. Dating casually off and on, he told me I was too young for him! Finally on April 2, 2016 we made it official! This upcoming April will be our 5th anniversary.

What is your favorite thing to do on a date night?

We love our little town of Phoenixville, PA. We have so many cute restaurants, shops, and bars. Our favorite date night would probably be bar/appetizer hopping down the street and enjoying live music along the way.

What was your first date like?!

Our first date (was it a date??) was dinner at Rams Head bar in grill in West Chester, PA. We talked a lot about our families and goals in life. This was only about a half block from his house in WC and became our regular spot for happy hour/late night dinner.

Favorite activities to do together?

We love to travel, hike with our pup, try different breweries together, try new restaurants together, par 3 golf courses, running, and cooking together!

If there’s one thing we have in common, it’s our unwavering commitment to the details -

- the lush cascading bouquet, the elegant wax seal on your invitations, and the seemingly small moments that become dear reminders of your big day. But, most importantly, it’s how we thrive on connection.

I believe the best wedding photography experience happens when we’re connected. That means trusting your photographer, a level of faith I treat earnestly.

You deserve a custom experience as breathtaking as your final gallery, and that’s what I’ll deliver.

and I can’t wait to capture it.
