Intimate Moonstone Manor Wedding | Julie + Matt

Reliving each day I shoot is one of my favorite parts. And I’m sad I don’t have Julie’s wedding to edit anymore because she was that amazing.

I could just be partial to the fact that she wore rose gold sparkly tennis shoes under her wedding gown, but I don’t think so because I love a woman who knows herself. It’s no secret that brides often spend most of their wedding day on their feet. From getting ready, to pictures, to ceremony time and dancing…well, as someone who’s standing there with you documenting it, I know it’s a looong day with a ton of standing.

Fun fact, if you ever see behind-the-scenes photos of me shooting, peep what I’m wearing. You guessed it. Flats. Some things just make sense. So when I spotted those beauties, it reinforced my love for this lady.

The choice suited her in general as someone whose vision for their day was focused almost entirely on providing a relaxing and enjoyable environment for their guests. When Julie told me, “I want it to be a party!”, I knew us pragmatic, flat-shoed girls were going to be able to go the distance to see that dream realized.

And what a day it was. She and Matt tied the knot at Moonstone Manor where they also had their engagement shoot. Moonstone is such a great place to get married. The grounds are just top-notch for photos. With their colors of navy and sage, and decor that featured greenery with touches of gold and dusty rose, I knew that it was going to be a great complimentary venue for them.

Such a sweet ceremony too! The bride and groom kept it intimate with a small bridal party, lots of fun details (including super fun socks), and little hidden pictures, and all said and done, Julie and Matt were so happy to walk back down the aisle man and wife.

But, when all the traditional parts of the wedding were finally squared away, that’s when the bride and groom really came into their element. Check out Julie behind the DJ table in the pictures below. She wasn’t kidding when she said they were waiting to get to the party. The last hour of their celebration was a full-on power hour with dancing, revelry, and a food truck that served panini sandwiches at the end of the night.

I had so much fun Julie and Matt! Thanks for letting me capture your amazing day, and any time you want to live that DJ life for me, I’m in!
