Community House of Moorestown Wedding | Julia + Tim

I have spent an awful lot of time in New Jersey this year! From estates to wineries to this little gem, the Community House of Moorestown , I’m getting to know the Garden State pretty well.

Julia and Tim were the sweetest couple and I was happy to travel out that way for them.

The Community house was a neat little historic spot that felt like it was in the middle of a full-on forest, and I was loving the aesthetics of this place. It’s such a well-preserved venue, and it’s just awash in this gorgeous woodwork that feels both stately and cozy at the same time.

Having their wedding there wasn’t a hard sell for the couple because they’d been in and out of it over the years. Julia’s dad owns a catering company that both she and Tim worked for, and they’d worked weddings at Moorestown and seen the possibilities. Even better though, Julia had her sweet 16 party at the Community house! I can’t even imagine what a full circle moment that must’ve felt like for her. Would be fun to compare the pictures all these years later!

The couple choose a classic color suite for their wedding, with Julia’s bridal party in emerald green with soft pink and cream flowers, while Tim’s groomsmen were in formal black tuxes. They even went the route of cummerbunds and bow ties. I had a full moment about it. That’s definitely something you don’t see anymore and I thought it was so them.

When we spoke about what Julia was looking most forward to about their big day, she told me it was the moment she was able to see Tim’s face from across the aisle. I hear that a lot from my couples, and it remains one of the sweetest moments I get to capture.

And it was! Their ceremony was in a gorgeous book-lined library with cafe lights strung overhead and it was the cutest, warmest space for their I-dos. They followed it up with a grand party in gorgeous ballroom. Their families were just beaming the whole time, and Julia and Tim even had a surprise for her parents 20th wedding anniversary! They had the DJ play her parent’s wedding song so they could have a special dance. So sweet.

They celebrated with their loved ones late into the night, complete with a sparkler send off, and it was a great end to the evening.

Thanks for having me, Julia and Tim!
