Choosing your wedding photographer is one of the most important vendor decisions you’ll make. After your wedding day is over, the only things you’ll have left are the rings, the memories, and your cherished moments captured on camera!
I have been serving couples from NYC to PA with luxury wedding photography for over six years. I am so passionate about maintaining an unbeatable team of associates, second shooters, and vendor partners so your wedding day is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
In this post, I’m sharing 7 steps to booking our luxury wedding photo experience and details on how you can lock in your wedding photography package with the Lauren Bliss team!

1. Submit Your Wedding Photography Inquiry
After submitting an inquiry on my site, you’ll receive an immediate reply with my collections guide, including wedding photography packages and pricing info. You’ll also get the 4-1-1 on my full luxury wedding photo experience (AKA what you’re reading right now!). Afterward, I will be in touch with you within 24-48 hours to confirm if my team is available on your date.
2. Select Your Wedding Photography Package
When it comes to selecting your wedding photo package, you have options!
After your initial consultation, I will share a custom proposal site with you, which includes wedding photography package options based on your preferences. You will have the chance to pick the option that aligns best with your budget and needs, and then it’s off to the races!
I also have several add-ons available, like a guestbook photo album or an heirloom wedding album.

3. Reserve Your Wedding Date
To get your wedding date locked in our calendar, we require a 40% upfront retainer. Once your date is held, my team turns away all other inquiries on that day! We’re 100% there on your wedding day from start to finish, and our time is never split elsewhere.
Keep in mind that our calendar typically books 24-12 months in advance!

Once you’ve signed a contract and submitted your deposit, you’re officially part of the Lauren Bliss Photography family. Yay!
4. Schedule Your First Photo Session
I recommend booking your engagement photo session 9-12 months before your wedding day. Once your session is complete and your final gallery is delivered, you’ll have time to choose your favorite photos for save the dates or other wedding stationery you’d like to order in advance. My engagement session gallery turnaround time is just 2 weeks!

Lauren is truly one of the best in the business. Beyond just being an amazing photographer and a true professional, she is just an amazing human being! She actually photographed my sisters wedding and as soon as I met her I knew that I had to book her for my future wedding…

5. Communicate Prior To Your Wedding Day
As your big day approaches, I’ll send several emails to remind you of specific items, like planning your wedding photography shot list for the day. You will receive a detailed questionnaire so I can start crafting a wedding photo checklist and timeline.

Questions I’ll ask you to think about are:
- Would you like to have a “first look” before the ceremony?
- What is your wedding color scheme or “theme”?
- Do you have a specific location you want to use for the family formal photographs?
- Would you like photos while you are getting ready?
- Will you be doing a formal exit? If so, what time?
- Is there any significance or story behind the wedding venue or location you chose?
6. After the Big Day
Phew. We made it! Now that you’re far away from wedding planning chaos, you finally get the chance to relax and soak it all in on your honeymoon. And I promise not to bother you… except to send over a wedding gallery sneak peek! I love sending preview galleries within 24-48 hours so you get to relive all the amazing moments together during your private getaway.

…I was floored when I saw the photos!!!
They were absolutely stunning. Clear colorful vibrant just perfect! she even went so far as to create an entire website for our photos that was easily shareable. The website is organized by different activities throughout the day and made it so easy to navigate and view all of them. And most recently she sent us a flash drive with all our photos. I literally couldn’t ask for anything more.

Between 6-8 weeks later, you’ll receive the full wedding gallery, including details, getting ready shots, your first look, family portraits, ceremony and reception photos, photobooth shots, and every incredible moment we captured in between.

7. Designing Your Custom Wedding Album
Designing custom wedding photo albums for my couples is one of my favorite parts of my job! After your wedding gallery is delivered, it’s time to turn the digital files into timeless keepsakes.
The wedding album design process:
- First, I’ll have you watch my Album Intro Video, which gives you a general overview of the different designs and layouts you can choose from.
- Next, you’ll explore the album options to decide which colors, textures, and finishes you want applied to your design.
- Lastly, you’ll favorite 50-100 photos from your wedding gallery that you’d like me to start designing with.
- Alternatively, I can also pick my favorites from your gallery and design it for you. Totally up to you!
- You’ll receive a preliminary design within 2 weeks once you pay the retainer and favorite your images!
