I was super excited to capture this Washington DC engagement photo session for Kristin and Mike when they booked with me. Little did I know that theirs was a whole DC love story! I adore it when the location plays such a central role. It feels extra special when I show up and my couple has a deep connection with their city.
How Their D.C. Love Story Began
Michael and Kristin’s love story had an unconventional beginning. The pair met through Hinge while they were both in college! Mike was graduating and moving to DC for a job while Kristin was finishing up her junior year outside the city.
They spent around a month and a half getting to know each other, constantly texting, calling, and even FaceTiming. According to Kristin, “We both knew just from those few short weeks, we had a connection neither of us ever felt before. It was so natural and easy, and we were both waiting eagerly to finally see if this connection was just as magical in person.”
Even though it was hard waiting to meet each other in person, they instantly felt they’d known each other forever and started the business of falling in love. Hinge for the win!
The Vision For Their City Engagement Session
