Here for the winter bride elegance. No, really, Lauren was so good at giving me that serious, sophisticated look, and then she’d immediately break out in laughter and make a silly face. That basically summed up the whole day with these two!
That same hilarious energy has been a hallmark of their bond since the beginning. Getting to know this dynamic duo, Lauren told me that the pair met in college, and that it was almost a near-miss because a friend of Terry’s was interested in Lauren as well! But lucky for our groom, Lauren only had eyes for him, and he made sure to make it official when he proposed to her on a beach in Dry Tortugas National Park outside of Key West.
As a part of an elaborate day trip in the middle of their vacation, Terry got Lauren on a seaplane to a secluded part of the beach, and armed with his Go-Pro, surprised her by asking her to be his wife. Love!
Yet, despite these magical moments, the day-to-day of their love looks a lot more familiar. Their perfect date night includes some dinner, some drinks, and enjoying each other’s company, while their daytime activities include beach lounging, fishing, traveling, and spending lots of time with loved ones, including their puppy!
Lauren and Terry prided themselves on how laid back their wedding was, from getting ready, to the pictures, and especially the reception, where their goal was for everyone to remember what a great time they had. Speaking to her big day, Lauren told me that her intentions were “to be low stress, go with the flow, and have fun” which was something that she hoped would carry to everyone throughout the day. And boy did she and Terry deliver on that. Everyone had ear-to-ear smiles all day long as they celebrated the happy couple.
