This ended up being an even more memorable engagement than any of us intended, largely due to a surprise guest, but more on that in a second.

Morgan and Ryan are total sweethearts. They described themselves as simple and easy-going people in our first conversations and that is so totally spot on. They radiate warmth, and their whole session felt so natural and stress-free. Have you ever run into people that instantly put you at ease because it feels like you’ve known them a long time? That’s these two.

The couple met at Lycoming College in the spring of 2015 when he was a senior, and Morgan was a sophomore. As fate would have it, they were forced into a long-distance relationship pretty quickly, but when Morgan was offered the chance to go to graduate school near Pittsburgh to be near Ryan again, she never looked back!

Fast forward to their life in Lancaster, and the two are parents to a couple of black cats, whom they love to snuggle, and recently got engaged at the place where it all started. During their spare time, they love to walk around and explore downtown Lancaster, trying new ice cream and coffee shops, and much to Ryan’s dismay, watch all things Bachelor/ette!

Speaking of entertainment, when we were traipsing around the city on our shoot, we ran into one of the most famous people, maybe ever, just hanging out with his family in downtown Lancaster. I’m not going to give it away, so scroll through the photos to see who it is, but we were legitimately floored and wanted to go home and practice some spells.

The Cork Factory Hotel will host Morgan and Ryan’s urban chic wedding next summer, and they’re hoping for a fun, stress-free celebration of their love with friends and family. Looking forward to it!
