Watching these two come together for their long-awaited celebration of love was all kinds of beautiful! Allyn and Philip, like so many other heartbroken couples, had to cancel their event two days before their planned date, due to covid. Not wanting to wait to start their new lives together, the couple decided on getting hitched privately, knowing that one day, they would get to share their love with their friends and family once more.
And, as good things come to those who wait, Allyn and Philip finally got to tie the knot (again), surrounded at last by their loved ones. Situated on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Wrightsville, PA, the couple chose the scenic John Wright Restaurant for their nuptials, a venue awash in rich local history and sweeping and picturesque lawns, it day made for some magical shots!
I also fell in love with Allyn’s dress, with its dramatic capes that billowed in the wind. Talk about a statement! We had so much fun making those things fly to get some unique and memorable pictures.
When, at long last, the couple was able to exchange their postponed I-dos, there was a palpable sense of joy among the assembled group, a happy ending to a long wait, and a re-affirmed beginning to a love-filled union. When the party moved to the reception, everyone one was surely ready to make up for lost time and the sound of laughter and dancing drifted along the banks of the river until well into the night.
The wait did not disappoint. I’ll be ready to do it again next year, guys!
