This wedding was nothing short of sentimental and sweet!
Lauren and Kody were high school sweethearts and tying the knot for them felt like the end of one chapter and the beginning a new part of their lives together. It could not have been better. The insanely joyous smiles in some of these photos speak for themselves!
In a world of all kind of trends, new wedding traditions, and everyone’s personal take on their wedding day, Lauren was one of my brides who was firmly and beautifully rooted in the idea of a gorgeous traditional celebration.
When we were chatting about it, she painted me this picture: “my vision is a classic wedding with lots of neutral tones. The decor is a mix of wine bottles, mismatched vases, and handmade candles so there’s a bit of rustic in it, but also full of classy with black and whites.”
It definitely sounded like a traditional classy affair to me.
When we finally got to the venue, I saw that her vision had come to life. The Mill at Manor House is a beautifully restored Grist Mill and has such a stately vibe. Her ceremony and reception space were filled with loads of beautiful greenery throughout, scattered pillar candles, a gorgeous arbor, and understated black and white linens.
And the bridal party was just as fab. With the ladies in gold champagne satin with white floral bouquets, and the groomsmen in classic black suits, it was super chic.
But the day belonged to Lauren and Kody, and they were practically shining as we took their photos, they were so radiant. Lauren had the perfect big-skirted bridal silhouette and Kody was so dapper and such a gentleman. You could tell the bride and groom were so relaxed and happy to be there together for this, their ultimate celebration.
We had such a good time through their ceremony and into the evening, where everyone lavished love and attention on this deserving couple.
