As far as weddings go, I’ve been to few as ✨fairytale-esque✨ as Kiley and Kevin’s Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding. It was nothing short of magical, from the color scheme to the table settings—and, of course, the showstopping bridal look Kiley wore. When I first saw her emerge from the getting-ready suite to stunned looks from her bridal party, even I was holding back tears!
The Mallard Island Yacht Club is a great waterfront location with unique gardens and endless outdoor photo locations. Kiley and Kevin’s coastal-themed fall wedding was a romantic whirlwind. The pictures tell a joy-filled story, from the intimate shots of Kiley and her mother getting ready to the fun approach to the first dances.
When Kiley and Kevin asked me to shoot their special day, I was so excited to return to the Mallard Island Yacht Club and capture their day from start to finish!
The Bride’s Unique Look
As all brides should, Kiley took center stage on her special day. Her unique dress was backless with bows on the sleeves, combined with a detachable skirt (by @justinalexander and @watters) and completed with a coastal-inspired headpiece (@saintbethofficial2)—a truly unique look that didn’t disappoint.
The detachable skirt allowed for a quick outfit change with no fuss and completely transformed her look between the ceremony and the reception. Kiley chose a classic updo for her day (@happilyeverafterhair), and simple but stunning makeup (@perfectbridalsbychristina) keeping her look elegant while focusing on the accessories, like her pearly waterfall-esque earrings and matching hairpiece.
The coastal theme didn’t stop at Kiley’s accessories; her gold vintage mirror (that resembled Rose’s mirror from Titanic), oyster jewelry box, and oyster place card holders (@shellsbyshea) tied the coastal theme together – one of my favorite wedding themes so far.

What is a coastal-themed wedding without a sea view?
The Mallard Island Yacht Club (@mallardislandyachtclub) is tucked just west of Long Beach, surrounded by Barnegat Bay, offering great views that are the perfect backdrop for a coastal wedding. Home to beautiful, intricate gardens and luxurious interiors, the location is great for any weather.
Luckily, for Kiley and Kevin, they were treated to a (mostly!) dry, early fall day and were able to enjoy both the inside of the yacht house and the beautiful, blooming foliage in the gardens.

Color Scheme
Kiley and Kevin’s coastal wedding theme was complimented with an autumn color palette. Soft peach, burnt orange, and soft whites featured in the bridesmaid’s bouquets and the table settings, along with hints of the coast with oyster place card holders, tied the theme and color scheme together.
The beautiful mothers of the bride and groom’s dresses in complimenting shades of blue were a nod to the ocean. The wedding also featured hints of other wedding color schemes – black – featuring black rings (@haddonfieldfinejewelers) and black on the burned orange flowers.
