We love a family affair over here at Lauren E Bliss Photography (p.s. I feel like I can call us that now that the secret is out about my new associate Taylor! More on that in the near future!).
Really, though, it is a complete honor to be able to start with one couple, and for them to be so happy with their experience that their friends or family members reach out!
There are so many awesome bonuses when I’m lucky enough for that to happen. For one, I get to hang out with former couples (and now friends) and catch up on where they are in their lives. These ongoing bonds are why I get to capture maternity and family sessions, and I LOVE IT.
Also, the more time I spend around your family or group of friends, the better I get to know them and vice-versa so that when the time comes to capture those photos, everyone is comfortable with me behind the camera. It’s a total win-win.
And that’s exactly what happened with my girls, The Proffitt sisters! Our journey started when I photographed Desiree’s sister’s wedding last September which you can see here. Taylor and Matt got married at the Mallard Island Yacht Club and little did I know then that less than a year later I would be capturing Desiree’s wedding. Talk about an honor!
Desi and Andrew were so great to be around on Taylor’s big day, so when we met up to do this engagement session at their wedding venue, I knew we were in for a good time.
We had such fun walking around Greystone Hall, anticipating all the magic that was to come. The grounds were so picturesque and grand, it definitely gave me a good perspective on how I wanted to frame their wedding photos.
Pro tip: It’s always great when I get to know the grounds of your venue intimately so that I can note all the great spots for the big day!
And let me tell you, that day did not disappoint! I could NOT be more excited to share Desi and Andrew’s beautiful summer wedding with you soon! For now, take a look at this magical and stylish engagement sesh!
